Quito pools will be emptied for the carnival holiday

The Municipality of Quito announced, through a bulletin, that will turn off and dry 27 pools located in strategic points of the city during the carnival holiday. This, in order to avoid damage to public space and environmental effects.

From the Friday February 25 until March 2 the pools will not have water for 24 hours.

According to the list of the Municipality, the pools are the following:

  • The Hanged Man (Francisco Gómez and Núñez de Balboa)
  • Amazonas and Veintimilla (Ignacio de Veintimilla and Amazonas)
  • Atahualpa (Lt. Hugo Ortiz and Alonso de Angulo)
  • Benito Juarez (Venezuela and Bogota)
  • Borja Yerovi (Jerome Carrion and October 9)
  • Amazonas Boulevard Tunnel (av. Amazonas)
  • Circassian (August 10 and Columbus)
  • The Floral (Guayllabamba and Cutuchi)
  • El Salvador (Mariscal Sucre and Edmundo Carvajal)
  • Two Pools of Guajaló (Morán Valverde and Pedro Vicente Maldonado)
  • Haiti (Deifilio Torres and Luis Dávila)
  • Central Italy (America and Luis Mosquera)
  • Alameda Lagoon (Gran Colombia and Sodiro)
  • The Tubes (Ajaví and Cardenal De La Torre)
  • Wholesaler (Lt. Hugo Ortiz and Ayapamba)
  • Memorial (October 12 and Homeland)
  • United Nations (Av. United Nations)
  • Garden Boy (Shyris and Eloy Alfaro)
  • English Park (Fernández Salvador)
