How to call with a hidden number

If for some reason you want to prevent the person you are calling by phone from knowing the number you are calling from, you have to know how to call with a hidden number.

Call from hidden number, that the recipient cannot save it or return the call, it’s simple. You can either do it by choosing this option from the mobile preferences menu or by using some codes when making the phone call.

All mobiles offer this possibility, but the way to activate it is not the same on Android and iOS.

If you want to hide your number and that the person who receives your calls cannot see it, you must take into account that the method for aActivating this option may vary between different mobile models. What is clear is that you should go to the settings of your Android phone and click on application settings and calls. Already in settings call, you will see many different options. Find where the ID appears, which can be in More settings or in Additional services in the case of Samsung mobiles.

Once you have located the window ‘Show Caller ID’ you can choose the option you prefer and change it when you deem it appropriate.

Call with hidden number from iPhone (iOS)

In case, you have to go to the iPhone settings and configure it so that the phone number from which we call is not displayed. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Enter the settings of your iPhone

2. Go to “Phone”

3. Tap on “Show caller ID”

4. Disable the “Show Caller ID” feature

Once you have activated this functionality, whoever receives a call will only see that it is a unknown phone number. Remember that you will keep this setting until you decide to change it.

Call codes hidden number

In addition to the option to change the call settings on the mobile phone, there is another way to call with a hidden number: mark a code before the number.

These codes may vary from country to country. In Spain, what works are the following:

1. Temporary secret code: It is used to hide your phone number in the call you are making at that moment. You have to dial #31# followed by the phone number.

2. Permanent secret code: To activate identity concealment you must write before the call: *31# and the call button, you permanently activate call concealment. * If you press #31# and the call button, you permanently disable call hiding.
