A shot to the head keeps a 5-year-old boy in critical condition, who was wounded by a bullet on the morning of this Monday, February 21, in the Santa Rosa compound, on the Vinces-Palenque road, in the province of Los Ríos.
Relatives said that the boy would have taken a firearm that was stored in the house where he lives with his parents; and that, as a game, he would have shot himself.
Later, the child was admitted to the Nicolás Cotto Infante de Vinces hospital, but was later transferred to a health home in Guayaquil, due to his critical condition.

Once the National Police was alerted to the fact by the doctors of the health center of that canton of Rio de Janeiro, they proceeded to arrest the father of the child so that he reveals where the firearm came from and why it was loaded.
The Police now investigate the confusing case, while the boy struggles to survive. (I)
