A new violent event alerted the residents of the citadel San Rafael, de Quevedo, in Los Ríos.
A shootout that began in this sector spread and reached outside the IESS hospital in Quevedo, where the criminals who wanted to end the lives of a group of people advanced.
It all happened on the afternoon of Sunday, February 20.
According to witnesses, criminals who were traveling in a truck arrived at a home located a few meters from the IESS hospital, when they unexpectedly shot at the people who were gathered at the site. Minutes later there was an armed confrontation between those involved that ended outside the hospital.

The bloodied bodies had several gunshot wounds and next to them were relatives who were crying out for medical attention while they were outside the IESS hospital.
But the wounded could not be treated immediately, since another shootout was taking place outside the health house, apparently perpetrated by two criminal organizations.
Those affected arrived at the IESS in vehicles that entered the hospital parking lot at high speed and almost behind them were the executioners who fired without hesitation, in order to end the lives of the injured and their companions, it was indicated.
A young university student was murdered on the road to the Quevedo canton
Once the armed attack ceased, accompanied by the police, the wounded were admitted to the hospital. Minutes later the death of three men was confirmed. In addition, a woman was injured.
Hours after all this event, the identity of the victims was known, who respond to the names of Eduardo Aráuz Quimís, 29, Rogelio Quintana Aráuz, 43, and Geovanny Steeven Litardo, 22, who according to police data , has a criminal record in 2017 and 2019 for the crime of robbery.
The Police have not given more details about this new armed confrontation that keeps Quevedo residents in anxiety. (I)
