They investigate in Flavio Alfaro a suspected case of femicide; man allegedly attacked the victim with a machete

María Barre Gilces, 28, would have been killed with machetes by her husband identified as Carlos AB in the El Cuello sector of the Río de Oro site, in the rural area of ​​Flavio Alfaro canton, Manabí province, reported the National Police.

The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. According to the uniformed officers, the victim’s mother said that she, her daughter and a friend were going to a relative’s house when on the way, taking advantage of a muddy stretch with a lot of vegetation, the attacker would have come out surprisingly.

According to the story of Barre’s mother, without saying a single word, her daughter’s husband would have attacked her to death. The friend who was with them, a 14-year-old minor, was also injured.

After that, the woman pointed out, the aggressor went to a nearby farm, a place where he would have hanged himself with a rope in a cocoa tree.

Alleged femicide and subsequent suicide were recorded in Pichincha, in the north of Manabí

The injured minor was transferred to the San Andrés de Flavio Alfaro hospital to be treated.

Personnel from Dinased and Criminalistics came to the sector to carry out the removal of the corpses, which were later transferred to the Manta morgue. (I)
