Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine could turn into the biggest war in Europe since 1945. This, according to RBC, was stated in an interview with the BBC by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
“I’m afraid to say that the plan we’re seeing is for something that could really be the biggest war in Europe since 1945 just in terms of scale,” he said.
The British prime minister believes that an “invasion” is inevitable – this is indicated by “evidence that cannot be embellished.”
Earlier, US President Joseph Biden said that Russia’s “attack” on Ukraine could happen “in the coming days.” Moreover, he expressed confidence that Putin allegedly decided on an “invasion”. The American leader added that the United States will not send its soldiers to Ukraine, but will continue to support the Ukrainian people. According to Biden, if the attack happens, the United States and its allies are ready to impose new “severe sanctions.”
Moscow denies these accusations. The Russian Federation is not going to “attack” Ukraine – neither on February 16, nor next week, Vladimir Chizhov, permanent representative to the EU, said.
The newspaper Politico “set” a new date for the “attack” of Russian troops on Ukraine – February 20.
Meanwhile, the conflict in Donbas escalated. As of the morning of February 20, cited by Kommersant, a total of 125 violations of the ceasefire regime were counted in the DPR and LPR, and 122 in Kiev. Since February 18, the republics have been evacuating the population to Russia.
