The G7 foreign ministers expressed their support for Ukraine and their readiness to take further decisive steps to deter further Russian aggression. This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba informed his colleagues about the escalation of tension on the part of Russia and the security situation near the state border and on the territory of the self-proclaimed republics.
“The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry once again denied the reports of Russian propaganda about the alleged preparation of Ukraine for offensive military operations, sabotage or provocations. He also stressed that the reports of the Russian media about the alleged hit of Ukrainian shells on the territory of the Russian Federation is disinformation,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“The G7 stands firmly on the side of Ukraine. I voiced Ukraine’s specific needs to my partners. From their reaction, I conclude that they will provide this specific support. In addition, no one believes in the fabrications of Russian disinformation about alleged attacks from Ukraine,” Kuleba said.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the fact that a shell hit the territory of the Rostov region in the border area. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
