The risk of conflict on Ukrainian soil remains high as Russia allegedly continues to build up military forces along Ukraine’s borders. This, according to Interfax-Ukraine, was announced at the Munich Security Conference, broadcast and translated by the Ukraine 24 TV channel, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“These are very, very dangerous days for Europe: Russia is constantly amassing troops along the Ukrainian borders, the largest accumulation since the Cold War. We do not know now what will happen in the future, but the risk of conflict is very high,” he said.

According to Stoltenberg, NATO does not see signs of withdrawal and de-escalation, but “it is not too late to stop preparations for war, it is not too late for the Russian Federation to change this course, it is not too late to start working out peaceful solutions.”

Earlier, US President Joseph Biden said that Russia’s “attack” on Ukraine could happen “in the coming days.” Moreover, he expressed confidence that Putin allegedly decided on an “invasion”. The American leader added that the United States will not send its soldiers to Ukraine, but will continue to support the Ukrainian people. According to Biden, if the attack happens, the United States and its allies are ready to impose new “severe sanctions.”

The newspaper Politico “set” a new date for the “attack” of Russian troops on Ukraine – February 20.

We add that residents of the DPR and LPR are being evacuated to Russia due to the aggravation of the situation in the Donbass. In both self-proclaimed republics, general mobilization was announced.
