Water cut in Guayllabamba, in the northeast of Quito, will remain until Tuesday, October 26

Epmaps reported that it is working on the repair of the transmission line, damaged by the rains.

Through a bulletin, the Metropolitan Public Drinking Water and Sanitation Company (Epmaps) reported that this Monday, October 25, the repair work continues on the transmission line of the Bellohorizonte section, in the Guayllabamba parish, in ehe northeast of Quito.

Authorities reported that they foresee gradually resume service from Tuesday morning October 26th.

According to the municipal company, the water cut, since Sunday afternoon, is due to the overflow of a slope due to heavy rains that damaged the pipeline that moves the liquid.

The rainy season and difficulties of access to the affected place they have expanded the response to this emergency.

Therefore, they have arranged the presence of tankers during the afternoon and night of this Monday in order to supply water to the inhabitants of the parish.

The authorities requested the understanding of the citizens and offered apologies for the inconvenience caused. (I)
