The head of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Leonid Pasechnik, called on residents to evacuate to the Russian Federation.

According to RIA Novosti, he instructed the departments to ensure the evacuation of social facilities and help residents to leave for the Russian Federation.

Earlier on Friday, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, announced the start of a mass exodus of the republic’s population to Russia. According to him, this is due to the high risk that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to order an offensive.

According to Pushilin, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already in battle formation and are allegedly ready for the forcible seizure of Donbass.

Meanwhile, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that he had no information about what is currently happening in the DPR. It is reported by Interfax.

Asked by journalists to comment on the DNR’s decision to evacuate people, Peskov replied: “I don’t know what’s going on with (the head of the DNR – ed.) Pushilin.” According to him, he “does not have information” whether this was agreed with the Russian side.

“I don’t know what’s going on there,” Peskov stressed.
