Guadalupe Llori denounces that her colleagues from Pachakutik want to destabilize her

The president of the National Assembly, Guadalupe Llori, denounced that her colleagues from the Pachakutik movement have destabilizing pretensions and conspire against her.

On his Twitter account, this February 18, he wrote: “It is very sad, the destabilizing claims of PK comrades, that although we have differences and if they still brazenly wear the wipala, at least let another Bank CONSPIRE and do not show the ambition”.

He also pointed out: “The political immaturity, and the disgusting attitude of being disposable of Unes. THEY ARE THE WORST SHAME! Believe me I am a daughter of God, and he allowed me to discover his destabilizing plan, this is the best proof of the disgusting conspiracy of those who call themselves Pachakutiks”.

The president of the legislature refers to the group of Pachakutik assembly members who call themselves rebels and patriots who commune with the president of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie), Leonidas Iza, who weeks ago distanced themselves from Llori’s leadership and the coordination of the bloc, who are trying to set up a commission ad hoc to investigate the actions of the Legislative Administration Council (CAL), which is chaired by Guadalupe Llori.

The visible heads of this group of assembly members are Mario Ruiz Jácome, Mireya Pazmiño, Darwin Pereira, Ángel Maita and Patricia Sánchez.

The legislator Mario Ruiz clarified that they are not conspiring against the president of the legislature, but they want to know the reasons why Guadalupe Llori delays in the qualification of the projects to repeal the tax reform that hits Ecuadorians and about the criteria regarding the qualification of the requests for impeachment against the members of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control, for that reason its co-idea presented a draft resolution for the knowledge of the plenary.

He commented that Llori uses the same line as the president of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso, who described Leonidas Iza, president of Conaie, as an anarchist.

This group of assembly members will insist on the approval of the resolution in plenary, Ruiz affirmed, since he considers that this commission should be created to correct the actions of the administration of the Legislative Function; if they’ve done things right, they don’t have to fear, he noted. “If she (Guadalupe Llori) calls that a conspiracy, it is out of context,” stressed the Imbabura representative for the Pachakutik movement.

Ruiz Jácome asked why the CAL does not qualify the projects to repeal the tax law, it gets involved with desire to get along with (Guillermo) Lasso. Nowhere in the rule does it say that the CAL must send the plenary to interpret the law.

The CAL must change and not only the president of the National Assembly, legislator Mario Ruiz insisted; if the authorities have done well, they have no reason to fear, he said.

The version of the president of Parliament, Guadalupe Llori, was requested, but there was no response.

But the head of the Pachakutik caucus, Rafael Lucero, clarified that not all the legislators of the bloc share with the group of assembly members who call themselves rebels and even less knew about the text of the resolution proposed by the legislator Pazmiño.

draft resolution

Mireya Pazmiño, from the Pachakutik group of rebel assembly members, presented a draft resolution on February 17 that, in addition to demanding the non-interference of the different functions of the State with respect to the constitutional and legal attributions and functions to carry out the contests of designation of authorities by the CPCCS, proposes the formation of a multi-party commission ad hoc, to investigate the fulfillment of the functions of the Legislative Administration Council, which is chaired by Guadalupe Llori.

The text proposes that the commission ad hoc It will be made up of five members: Peter Calo (Pachakutik), Fernando Cedeño (UNES), Lucía Placencia (ID), Francisco Jiménez (CREO) and Pedro Zapata (PSC).

The proponent considers that the Legislative Administration Council has processed the impeachment requests with arbitrary criteria that disrespect the chronological order of presentation, turning the National Assembly into a forum for public deliberation servile to the interests of the Government.

On February 8, legislator Pazmiño, accompanied by assemblyman Mario Ruiz Jácome (Pachakutik) and legislators from the Partido Social Cristiano (PSC) and Unión por la Esperanza (UNES) blocs, announced the presentation of a political trial against of four councilors of the CPCCS, which makes the new majority in that State institution.

The multiparty commission, according to the draft resolution, will hear and investigate the alleged breach of duties incurred by the members of the Legislative Administration Council during the processing of the political trials filed against the councilors of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control , without prejudice to other facts that may be investigated by virtue of the respective complaints that may be presented before this commission, for which it will act in accordance with article 18 of the Organic Law of the Legislative Function; and, where applicable, article 166 ibid.

The commission will receive within a period of five days all the complaints of assembly members that are presented against the CAL. (I)
