Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded from the government this year to ensure the growth of real incomes of citizens by at least 2.5%. It is reported by TASS.
At a meeting on economic issues, the president said that the government had already set the appropriate benchmarks, and noted that income growth should occur not only through social support measures, but also through economic growth. The latter, the head of Russia noted, is a basic condition for solving social problems.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin called the low incomes of millions of Russians the main enemy of the country and announced that in the next three years it is planned to allocate 41.5 trillion rubles to social support for the population.
Recall, according to VTsIOM, the majority of Russian families (64%) do not have savings, and only 33% of respondents have savings. And the SuperJob portal conducted a survey from which it turned out that four out of ten Russians would give up their favorite job for one where the salary is twice as high as the current one.
