In St. Petersburg, the area around the Red Triangle building on the Obvodny Canal embankment was cordoned off after the collapse of the upper floor, a Rosbalt correspondent reports.
Rescuers, doctors and police are on the scene. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the help of a crane lift the wreckage.
“I can’t tell you how the situation is there. You will learn everything from the news, ”said the policeman.
More than ten units of rescue equipment and several dozen employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police were seen near the building.

Changed public transport routes. Part of the embankment is closed to the entrance. Some vehicles are still leaving the area.
Recall that part of the building collapsed on the evening of February 17. One victim is known. There were two cars under the rubble. The prosecutor’s office is investigating.
The Red Triangle, the first rubber factory in Russia, was declared bankrupt 20 years ago. About 60% of the buildings on the territory of the former factory have been repaired and maintained, the rest are in an abandoned state. In the premises of the former factory, fires and roof collapses occurred more than once. According to city defenders, looters were involved in this, cutting down the supporting structures of the building for the sake of scrap metal.
