Fernando Medina Ramón was resting at his home, located in the La Cuca parish, jurisdiction of the Arenillas canton, when two subjects entered and fired five shots at him last Sunday night.
The detonations woke up the neighborhood, who noticed the open door of the home, and upon entering the building they observed that he was bleeding. After taking him to the basic hospital in Arenillas, the doctors confirmed the death of Medina.

Some witnesses told the Police that the two alleged criminals were traveling aboard a motorcycle and that they fled to an unknown destination. After an operation around the area, they were unable to find his whereabouts.
Police teams carried out the removal of the body and transferred it to the Machala Forensic Center.
