Two young people were murdered early this Thursday at the Battle of Tarqui cooperative, in Guasmo Sur. His perpetrators arrived at the site in a vehicle and used two rifles, the Police found 55 ballistic evidence at the crime scene.
According to preliminary reports, the now deceased, one of them apparently a minor, was talking with another young woman who would have been injured and is hospitalized.

In addition to the rifles, the four attackers used two other short weapons. The traces of the bullets were marked on the outside of a house in the sector.
Among the residents there is secrecy for fear of reprisals.
The fatalities were identified as Jefferson MQ (minor) and Marcos Nazareno, 19 years old.
Rifle attacks have become a frequent practice in Guasmo, south of Guayaquil. At the end of January, twenty men opened fire on those who were in the La Playita sector, an act that caused five deaths and a dozen wounded.
On that occasion the assassins used rifles and machine guns.
An hour before that episode another violent death had been recorded in the area.

The Police attributes these crimes, among other things, to the struggle between criminal groups that dispute territories for the distribution of drugs.
Until the previous Sunday, in Zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón) more than 150 violent deaths were reported. (I)
