More than a third of respondents (43%) do not trust charitable organizations and foundations, and experts attribute this, among other things, to the toxic submission of requests for help, RBC reports citing a survey conducted by the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
At the same time, it turned out that more than a third of Russians (42%) over the past year almost never made donations, did not give money to those in need, including beggars. And 41% of those surveyed made donations rarely, only a few times.
Most often, those who donated money preferred to give alms (50%, in this question it was possible to select several answers), 15% made donations via SMS, another 10% via the Internet.
We also recall that on the last day of last year, President Vladimir Putin signed a law that introduced administrative liability for people with donation boxes in cases where such boxes were installed by a citizen or organization that did not have the right to do so. These actions will be qualified as petty theft of other people’s property – in Article 7.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, where a special new part 3 appears.
