Children’s Ombudsman of St. Petersburg Anna Mityanina turned to her parents on social networks after teenagers fell from the roof on Torez Avenue.
Mityagina recalled that the day before, the bodies of 15-year-old boys and girls were found under the windows of a “nine-story building” in the Vyborgsky district. In the backpack, the girls found a note that was addressed to the grandmother with whom they lived together. It was written in it that the girl loves her and asks for forgiveness.
According to relatives, the deceased was often sick, so she was homeschooled. Recently, she had difficulties in communicating with her peers. The circumstances of the death of teenagers are established.
“The largest percentage of suicides are committed by children at the age of 16. Almost always, the Internet comes to their aid. In the last year alone, the children’s helpline received more than 300 calls from minors on suicide issues. The reasons why St. Petersburg teenagers think about suicide are often scandals with parents and difficulties in the family, school problems and academic overload, conflicts with peers, acute psychological trauma experienced by the child, or unrequited love, personal failures, ”said the Ombudsman.
Mityagina asked parents and teachers not to ignore the warning signs, which can be used to understand that the child is thinking about suicide, and also expressed her condolences to the families of the dead children.
Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was opened on the fact of the fall of teenagers from the roof of the house.
