The Thai authorities have allowed citizens vaccinated with the Sputnik Light vaccine to arrive from the country without undergoing quarantine under the Phuket Sandbox program. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the information of the consular department of the Thai Foreign Ministry.

To obtain an entry permit, in addition to other documents, medical insurance with coverage of up to $50,000, TASS reports. It must cover the cost of treatment and other medical expenses associated with contracting COVID-19, including transportation to a hospital, isolation in a hospital, hotel, or quarantine.

According to the latest data, in Thailand there are 16.4 thousand cases of coronavirus and 27 deaths per day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the infection has been diagnosed in 2.63 million people, more than 2.47 million have recovered, and 22.5 thousand have died.
