Russian servicemen will begin to return to their permanent deployment points after the end of the exercises in Belarus. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

According to him, the units of the Southern and Western military districts have already begun loading onto vehicles and will move out on Tuesday.

In Belarus, from February 10 to 20, joint exercises with Russia “Allied Resolve-2022” are being held. At the same time, representatives of the two countries have repeatedly stated that the maneuvers are defensive in nature and do not threaten anyone.

The Ministry of Defense also reported on the course of the exercises. It announced the beginning of the withdrawal to the places of permanent deployment of those units that have already completed their tasks.

We add that after the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the return of the military to the garrisons, the Russian ruble began to strengthen. The stock market also reacted with growth. In addition, oil prices began to fall, which showed a jump in recent days against the backdrop of increased geopolitical tensions around Ukraine and the risks of an “invasion” of Russian troops into the territory of this country.
