SUAI hosts the business program of the WorldSkills regional championship

At the Boiling Point – St. Petersburg. GUAP” On February 15, the business program of the VII open regional championship “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)” started. It will bring together representatives of the education sector and industrial partners.

According to the organizers of the event, the session “Competencies of the economy of the future” will be held on the first day. It will present the FutureSkills developed at the SUAI, which will soon be introduced into the championship movement. These are “Export activity”, “Process safety” and “Smart quality”. Competence developers — SUAI instructors — will talk about the features of new areas and the stages of introducing competencies into the movement.

The session will be attended by representatives of organizations of secondary vocational education, as well as the head of innovative projects of the Department of Research, Development and Development of Educational Organizations of the WorldSkills Russia Union Konstantin Kaisin. He will evaluate the projects of competencies and the prospects for their implementation in educational organizations.

On the second day of the business program, a key event will take place – a panel session “FutureSkills in the development of vocational education”. It will cover topics such as the role of FutureSkills in the vocational education system of St. Petersburg, the specifics of training participants in FutureSkills, and the growth points of such competencies in the education system. It will be attended by representatives of the Committee on Education and the Committee on Science and Higher Education, the rector of the SUAI, as well as members of organizations of secondary vocational education.

The business program of the championship will end with the project and analytical session “College of FutureSkills”, where representatives of secondary vocational education organizations, together with industrial partners, will develop a draft model for the development of colleges in the FutureSkills movement.

All events of the business program will be held remotely, guests of honor and industrial partners will be at the Boiling Point – St. Petersburg. GUAP”, and other participants will join the discussion remotely.

Recall that the VII open regional championship “Young Professionals” is held in St. Petersburg from February 7 to 21. 1940 contestants participate in the championship – students of professional educational organizations and departments of secondary vocational education of higher educational institutions, students of schools and institutions of additional education. Their skills and abilities are evaluated by 2250 experts. Competitions in 221 competencies are held on different days at 60 distributed venues in the city, five of which are based on the SUAI. The winners in each competency of the championship will represent St. Petersburg at the Young Professionals qualifying competitions and at the 2022 Young Professionals National Championship.
