Temporary restrictions may be imposed on car parking in St. Petersburg courtyards during snow removal. Oleg Zotov, the head of the housing committee, said this on air on the St. Petersburg TV channel.

“Already now, the parking of our yards is a key problem that excludes the possibility of automated cleaning. And it is much more efficient, cheaper and faster than manual. To clean one average yard, you need a team of manual labor specialists. And they want to receive a salary, proper working conditions, and are very expensive for the budget of St. Petersburg, ”the official noted.

According to him, it is necessary to regulate the procedure for placing cars in yards during the snowy period. Citizens are already used to the signs “even – odd” on the streets, Zotov is sure.

“I think that after some time we will come to similar rules in our yards, when once a week, once a month, or based on weather conditions, we will ask residents to completely free the yard from transport. Rearrange in a neighboring yard or move along city streets, ”explained the head of the committee.

Recall that in Canada, Finland and Norway, residents are notified in advance about cleaning, by posting signs a day in advance that prohibit parking during a certain period. If the car is not removed, a tow truck arrives, and a fine of up to 500 euros “flies” to the motorist.
