Two motorcyclists who were traveling through the suburb of Guayaquil attacked two young people in the early hours of this Tuesday, February 15.

Four 9mm ballistic evidence was found at each of the scenes, police said.

One of the men was shot in the leg; the other, on the back and neck. Despite the injuries, Colonel Wilson Torres, head of the Portete district, explained that both were stable.

He also reported that an operation was immediately activated that allowed the arrest of a suspect who would have been with the motorists.

The victims of the armed attack were identified as José BM and Rubén RM. The latter is 27 years old and records two arrests for robbery in 2015 and 2019.

In November 2019 he was arrested for a robbery on Av. Victor Emilio Estrada; they had followed him to 29 and Medardo Ángel Silva.

There the uniformed men found the weapon and the stolen items. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison. In theory, he should still be imprisoned, but it is presumed that his lawyers obtained a reduction in his sentence and he was released earlier.

The release ticket does not appear in the process.
