They murder a man when he participated in the funeral of his cousin

El Empalme, Guayas

In the San Miguel sector, in a section of the Manabí road, in the El Empalme canton (Guayas), the coffin was left with the remains of Roddy Intriago Bravo, who was murdered at dawn on Friday, October 22, inside the municipal market of that canton.

The man’s burial was to take place in the El Limón cemetery in that jurisdiction. However, he was upset when unknown subjects aboard a motorcycle fired at the people carrying the coffin on their shoulders.

As a result of the multiple shots, a citizen died, while two other women were injured in part of their limbs and their health is stable.

In the shooting, which occurred on Saturday afternoon, the mortal victim was identified as José Cedeño Vergara, 31, a cousin of the man who was to be buried.

With this fact, the citizens of this population are shocked, since there are several weeks in which crimes are registered under the same modality.

On October 19, Miguel Antonio García Cusme, 48, was shot to death by two men, who hours after committing the crime were captured by the police in the middle of a chase.

The two attackers were identified as 25-year-old John Patricio DG, and 23-year-old David Joel M., S. A third subject is wanted by the Police, since he also participated in this violent death, the police report indicates. (I)
