The head of the council of deputies of the Meshchansky district of Moscow, Alexander Zakuskin, apologized to the 68-year-old native of Chechnya, Salima Yusupkhadzhieva, emphasizing that the conflict between them has “not a national, but an everyday character.” It is reported by “Kommersant”.

As the elderly woman herself said, the deputy attacked her with pepper spray and threatened to “deport her to Chechnya” while she was trading near a mosque in Moscow.

Ombudsman of Chechnya Mansur Soltaev, who believes that the actions of the deputy “see signs of a crime” under the article on intentional infliction of bodily harm, said that he had prepared an appeal to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation regarding the conflict. State Duma Vice Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy announced that if information about the scandalous incident is confirmed, Alexander Zakuskin, representing United Russia, will be expelled from the party “so as not to dishonor his colleagues.”

As for Zakuskin himself, he, according to the Baza Telegram channel, was forced to move and turn to the police in connection with the threats he received.
