Banks in Western countries are pausing lending to Russian legal entities amid the threat of new sanctions against Russia and the increased risk of debt default due to the crisis around Ukraine, Dialog.UA reports.

It is noted that Russian companies are already facing the problem of obtaining loans in international markets.

According to Banksta’s Telegram channel, which specializes in banking, “foreign banksters have begun to postpone lending to Russian companies due to likely sanctions and an increase in the risk of default on debts.”

Recall that recently in Western countries, as well as in Ukraine, there have been statements about a possible “invasion” of Russia into Ukrainian territory. American speakers argue that the attack could happen “any day”.

Moscow denies all accusations and maintains that Russia poses no threat to anyone. Earlier, various Western media indicated that the sign of the “invasion” is the accumulation of Russian military equipment in the regions bordering Ukraine. At the same time, among the likely anti-Russian sanctions were called the shutdown of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, restrictions against Russian energy companies, and even disconnection from SWIFT.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian oligarchs and businessmen are hastily leaving Ukraine on charter flights. So, according to some reports, about 20 charters and private planes flew out of Kiev over the past day.
