Turkish Airlines has offered its passengers additional opportunities to return or exchange tickets to Ukraine from February 13 to February 28, the press service of the Turkish carrier reports.
As stated in the message on the airline’s website, an additional right to return tickets or change the date of the flight is provided “in connection with the current situation in Ukraine.”
In addition, the Czech Foreign Ministry announced a possible suspension of flights with Ukraine. The agency’s website published a recommendation for citizens to avoid traveling to the country or leave Ukraine soon “due to the possible restriction or suspension of airlines.” A similar warning was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
The day before, it was reported that from February 14, the largest international insurance companies will stop covering the insured events of airlines when flying over Ukraine. Thus, the airspace of Ukraine may actually be closed.
