The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov reassured his compatriots, saying that the Ukrainian army is ready to repel any aggression from outside. This was reported by the information agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “ArmyInform”.

At the same time, Reznikov called the assumptions that Ukraine could attack the territory of the Russian Federation as absurd. He added that the situation is controlled by Ukrainian intelligence, the army and diplomats, and Ukraine is continuously coordinating its actions with the leading countries of the world.

The head of the Defense Ministry stressed that in order to resolve the conflict, Ukraine is going to follow a peaceful path that will allow it to return the Donbass and Crimea. According to him, Kiev has “unprecedented support” from Ukraine’s international partners, as well as “the most powerful army in Ukraine over the past 15 years and the most powerful army in Europe.” At the same time, he called on compatriots to work, remain calm and support the Armed Forces and diplomats of Ukraine.

“Ilovaisk and Debaltseve left scars on the heart of Ukraine, but tempered the will,” Reznikov added. – The heroic defense of the Donetsk and Luhansk airports, the daily defense of dozens of settlements from Stanitsa Luhanska to Shirokino made the morale unbending. Everyone who has ever looked into the eyes of our soldiers is sure that there will be no repetition of 2014, the aggressor will not take Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, or any other city.”

The readiness to meet the enemy “not with flowers, but with Stingers, Javelins and NLAWs” was also announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU), Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhny, who ended his speech with an emotional appeal: “Welcome to hell!”

“We are constantly improving our defense capabilities, the coherence of units and military skills,” Zaluzny emphasized. “We created battle formations and managed to deploy the Terrorist Defense Forces in a short time and armed them with ATGMs and MANPADS, we are training instructors – operators of the Korsar and Stugna-P ATGMs to train the personnel of the TRO Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

Reports of a hypothetical Russian invasion of Ukraine, supported by videos of Russian military equipment in the regions bordering Ukraine, have been circulating in the world media for the fourth month in a row. The latest date for the alleged Russian invasion has been given by US President Joe Biden as February 16.
