The German Foreign Ministry called on its citizens to leave Ukraine if their stay in this country is not mandatory. This is stated on the website of the department.

The Foreign Ministry recommends that German citizens who are in Ukraine consider whether their stay in the country is necessary. If not, then move out in the short term, the message says.

The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry also recommends that its citizens “assess the need for further stay” in Ukraine and “refuse from unnecessary trips” to Ukraine, taking into account the “changing security situation”.

Earlier, other countries, such as the United States, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Finland, Latvia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Estonia, Japan, and South Korea, urged to leave Ukraine and refrain from traveling to the country.

The media is discussing the issue of the allegedly possible “invasion” of Russia into Ukraine. Moscow denies these accusations, but this does not prevent the West from threatening the Russian Federation with sanctions. At the same time, Reuters reported that the United States and the European Union refused to include in the package of sanctions against Russia disconnection from the SWIFT interbank payment system. According to the source of the agency, this measure was no longer considered after the objections of European countries, which indicated that disconnecting the Russian Federation from SWIFT “would not benefit anyone.” Most likely, in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, sanctions will be imposed against large Russian banks such as VTB and Sberbank, as well as a number of oligarchs. In addition, the West intends to limit Russian exports in the field of defense and technology.
