A resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory transferred almost 5 million rubles to the “courier” of the British actor

A pseudo-actor from Britain stole almost 5 million rubles from a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

“It has been preliminarily established that in August 2021, the victim left a comment on one of the social networks under the publication of the British actor. After some time, on behalf of the artist, an unknown person wrote to her in the messenger. He said that he sent her a parcel with gifts, ”the message says.

Then the woman was approached by a courier service employee who, under the pretext of duties and taxes, requested money. The woman transferred him more than 4.7 million rubles. However, the attacker did not stop there and asked for more money. The woman went to the bank, and there the employee advised her not to transfer funds, since dubious transactions were being carried out on the specified account.

A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

As a result, a suspect was detained in Balashikha near Moscow, who turned out to be a native of Nigeria. He pleaded guilty and was taken into custody.
