The young man was shot on Friday in Guayaquil along with the Olympic sprinter.

Christopher Arcalla Ramírez, the young man who was killed along with the sprinter Álex Quiñónez, was known as Jojairo Arcalla or jojairoohp in the field of urban music.

The Police have drawn up part of the investigations around the activities of this young man who was born in 1989 in the Febres Cordero parish, in Guayaquil.

The data handled by the Police indicated that he had no criminal record, but did have investigative processes for illegal possession of weapons and the crime of intimidation, according to the institution.

Within the Police the hypothesis is being considered that Quiñónez was a possible collateral victim, that is, the attack was probably directed at the singer.

In the video that captured the moment of the attack, two men are seen getting out of a car and shooting directly at two people who were among a group on the sidewalk. Those shot were Arcalla Ramírez and Quiñónez.

Arcalla’s body was taken from the Guayaquil Crime Laboratory and was kept in his family’s home, near where he was murdered.

Jojairo Arcalla posted his music on YouTube and microvideos on Instagram. In both social networks he had about 7,000 followers.
