US President Joe Biden again made a geographical error by confusing Afghanistan with Ukraine and Iraq.

The head of the White House was embarrassed during an interview with NBC, answering the question of how prepared the United States was for the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan after a 20-year military campaign, Channel Five reports.

“We did not have the slightest opportunity to unite Ukraine. That is, excuse me, Iraq. Afghanistan! It was impossible to achieve this,” Biden said.

As RBC recalls, American troops were sent to Afghanistan in response to the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001. And in April 2021, Biden announced the decision to withdraw all American units by the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The US military left the country on 30 August.

Note that this was not the first reservation of the 79-year-old American leader. Recently, he confused the country, which allegedly could “invade” the territory of Ukraine, saying that Germany plans to attack Nezalezhnaya. He also confused the words “vaccination” and “escalation”, Syria with Libya and Iraq with Iran.

Recall also that at the end of July last year, Biden once again misspoke in public and confused former US presidents Barack Obama with Donald Trump. On July 28, during a speech in Pennsylvania, Biden referred to the events of 2009, saying that “then President Trump” instructed him to bring the auto industry out of the crisis.
