Writer and critic Tatyana Moskvina spoke harshly in connection with the published draft decree of the President of the Russian Federation on changing the foundations of the cultural policy of the Russian Federation. The playwright stood up for the Union of Theater Workers, who opposed additional control.

“Their concern is not difficult to understand: theaters are completely dependent on the state, and if the state plans to strictly check cultural institutions for compliance with traditional values, then a clear shortage may be found in a number of places,” Moskvina said in a statement.

She called the protection of traditional values ​​a “gold mine”. “What a powerful bribe-intensity this ‘coordination of activities’ has. Moscow dug itself another feeding trough, it will be where to attach countless kids, lovers and nephews, ”the writer is indignant. She wonders how it happened that “naturally disposed to love the motherland, to work, to procreate” the people “felt such a sharp disgust for their traditional values ​​that special decrees were needed.” “Well, this is how it is necessary to fool the people,” the critic added.

Moskvina noted that she understands the fears of the leaders of Russian theaters. “Look at their repertoire, it’s all Gogol’s “Marriage” and Chekhov’s “Three Sisters”, and there it’s all mockery of the idea of ​​​​a strong family.” “And the “Inspector General” of the same Gogol – does it strengthen respect for state authorities when the audience leaves the hall with remarks “oh, nothing has changed in two hundred years,” she said.

In conclusion, the playwright emphasized that “life will go on as usual, despite decrees and orders,” and “mercy and justice are not introduced by decrees.” She also admitted that while reading the decree, she remembered the character of the novel by Saltykov-Shchedrin “Lord Golovlev”, nicknamed Yudushka. “He, in words, was downright woven from traditional values ​​- pious, amiable, spouting streams of sweet words. Despite the fact that he robbed his mother, he killed his brothers and his own son, without ceasing, however, to lisp about virtue and a righteous life, ”Moskvina noted.
