Moscow residents were given the opportunity to access an electronic medical record without entering a code from SMS. This is reported by the portal of the Moscow mayor’s office with reference to the vice-mayor Anastasia Rakova.
According to the official, now the entrance to the EMIAS.INFO application can be confirmed using a short code, fingerprint or Face ID. However, for this you need to update the application to the latest version and go through full authorization once at the entrance, the official explained.
“Alternative safe and convenient ways of access are especially important during the rise in the incidence of COVID-19, since through this application you can pre-fill an online application for a rapid test, make an online appointment for vaccination or an appointment with a doctor on duty at a polyclinic,” said Rakova.
The new authorization method guarantees reliable protection of personal data, the authorities assured. We add that you can disable and re-enable the option to enter the electronic medical record by fingerprint or face recognition in the application settings using the “Other” tab and the “Application Login” section.
