Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko calls on fellow countrymen to join the battalion of the territorial defense of the Ukrainian capital. A patriotic video posted on Klitschko’s Facebook page is dedicated to this topic.
The video shows the people of Kiev in camouflage, who are working out the tactics of military operations, the use of first aid and tell why they entered the territorial defense. The video also includes footage of the mayor’s brother, the famous boxer Wladimir Klitschko, joining the Kiev defense battalion.
In the finale, both brothers turn to their compatriots, urging them to join the ranks of the defense and defend Ukraine together.
Territorial defense units are being created throughout Ukraine by decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Although the military command is engaged in this in other regions of the country, in Kiev this task is actively solved by Vitaliy Klitschko, who assembled the city headquarters of territorial defense before his colleagues and actively calls for “defending Ukraine with arms in hand.” The fact that his boxer brother joined the ranks of the defense became known almost a week ago.
