President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who quoted the expression “I like it, I don’t like it, be patient, my beauty” in relation to Kiev and the Minsk agreements.

“Ukraine is very patient,” Zelensky said. “This is wisdom, this is important both for Europe and for Russians.”

Speaking about Vladimir Putin’s phrase, Zelensky agreed that Ukraine is “beautiful”. “But about mine, this is already too much,” the President of Ukraine added.

Recall that the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference after talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in Moscow said that Ukraine must comply with the Minsk agreements. The Russian leader recalled that Zelensky had previously said that he did not like a single point of these agreements.

“Well, like it, don’t like it – be patient, my beauty. We must comply,” the Russian president said.

Putin’s words were also commented on by his press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He explained that Putin meant that the state must fulfill its obligations.

At the same time, journalists drew Peskov’s attention that the expression “about the beauty” is similar to the line of one of the songs of the rock group “Red mold”. Peskov, however, said that Putin is not familiar with the work of this team. A Kremlin spokesman suggested that the group probably borrowed the phrase from “Russian folklore” as well.
