Russia has yet to see a reduction in the level of tension over Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine. This, according to RBC, said the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“It is hardly possible to speak of a lull. We hear how statements are pouring in on this subject from the United States and European capitals, ”he said.

Peskov pointed out that Western countries “prefer not to mention” the question raised by Russia about security guarantees.

Recall that at the end of 2021, Russia presented the United States with a vision of security in Europe. On January 26, US Ambassador to Moscow John Sullivan handed over Washington’s written response to Russia’s proposals for security guarantees. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, noted that NATO does not adequately respond to “Russian concerns.”

Since 2021, statements have been made in Western countries, as well as in Ukraine, about a possible “invasion” of Russia into Ukrainian territory. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is moving troops within its territory and at its own discretion. According to him, it does not threaten anyone.
