The first reports indicate that they would have been dragged by the current of the river in the Dos Bocas resort. The novelty was notified through a call to the ECU 911 system.
The residents reported that they tried to rescue them with a rope when they were being swept away by the water current. The flow increased suddenly as a result of heavy rains in the mountains.
