22% of the respondents said they would like to have savings in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. and 1 million rubles. 9% of respondents noted that for peace of mind they need to have up to 3 million rubles in reserve, 18% – more than 3 million rubles. At the same time, 70% of respondents said that they do not have any savings for a rainy day.

1.5 thousand Russians from million-plus cities took part in the online survey.

Earlier, Nikolai Pereslavsky, an employee of the Department of Economic and Financial Research at the CMS Institute, said that keeping savings in rubles, dollars and euros is recommended in proportions between them according to the formula “40-30-30” or “50-25-25”, where the first (large share) is rubles. In his opinion, such a ratio will help protect against currency devaluation and partially offset inflation.
