In St. Petersburg, the head of the housing and communal service was convicted, who extorted a bribe. By decision of the Petrogradsky District Court, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison to be served in a general regime correctional colony.

The former head of the operational section No. 3 of the Zhilkomservis No. 1 of the Petrogradsky District, Alexander Levin, was involved in the case. He was found guilty under the article “attempt to obtain commercial bribery.”

According to investigators, in the summer of 2021, Levin decided to get an “increase” in his salary, and since the approval of redevelopment in the apartment depended on him, he decided to take advantage of his position. It was impossible to move the walls and doors in the premises, but Levin agreed to turn a blind eye to this for 40 thousand rubles.

The client turned to the police, and the transfer of money was already under the control of operatives. At the same time, a technician from the same operational area acted as an intermediary between the owner of the apartment and the head of the power plant. She, too, was arrested and convicted.

The court sent Levin to a colony for 6 years, and also banned him from engaging in activities related to the performance of managerial functions in commercial organizations for three years. The verdict is still subject to appeal.
