US State Department spokesman Ned Price called on Ukraine and Turkey to be responsible for the use of weapons. About this he declared yesterday during the briefing.

Recall, Turkey signed the first contract for the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) Bayraktar with Ukrainian engines.

“We strongly advocate the proper use of military equipment in accordance with the laws of armed conflict and in such a way as to avoid harm to civilians,” Price was quoted by RBC.

At the same time, he made it clear that Washington “generally encourages the provision of security assistance by allies and partners to Ukraine.”

Haluk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Defense, Aviation and Space Companies SAHA Istanbul and CEO of the Turkish company Baykar, Haluk Bayraktar, said the day before that deliveries under the contract are scheduled for 2023.

The engines for these UAVs will be supplied by Ukraine. Back in mid-November last year, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that two companies in the country – Ivchenko-Progress and Motor Sich – signed contracts for the supply of engines for Turkish UAVs.
