An environmental scandal is flaring up in the Bashkir Salavat: Rosprirodnadzor and the republican Ministry of Ecology blame the local Gazprom plant for environmental pollution, the Ufa1.ru portal reports.
According to the publication, the inspectors initiate one check after another, pointing to specific areas of production of Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat, where, in their opinion, various violations occur.
Tellingly, βit was these sites that for a couple of years were praised in every way by the head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, and their builders were solemnly awarded at official events,β the portal emphasizes.
Meanwhile, at the enterprise itself, they shrug their shoulders and blame other industrial production for the caustic chemical stench that enveloped Salavat.
Recall that on January 12, Rosprirodnadzor reported that Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat had violated environmental legislation. The inspectors of the South Ural Interregional Administration revealed that the enterprise did not calculate the fee for the over-limit emission of pollutants from hydrogen production units.
In addition, it was found that the company is operating new capital construction projects without an appropriate opinion.
We add that the Salavat plant belongs to the oil and gas giant Gazprom. The Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat enterprise includes an oil refinery and a gas chemical plant, and the Monomer plant. The industrial complex was integrated into the Gazprom system by 2011.
