CNN CEO Jeff Zucker has stepped down. The reason for the resignation was a secret affair with a colleague, the channel reports.
He admitted that he had a “consensual relationship with a colleague” with whom he had worked for over 20 years. They have evolved in recent years. According to Zucker, he should have reported it, but he didn’t.
“I was wrong. As a result, today I am leaving my post, ”said the head of CNN. He did not name his colleague, but the channel said it was CNN marketing director Allison Gollust. She has already confirmed the connection with Zucker.
Hollast admitted that they started an affair during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to her, she is not going to quit CNN.
