Statements by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about Russia’s alleged use of chemical weapons and the “seizure” of other states are unfounded. This was stated, as reported on Facebook on the page of the Russian diplomatic mission, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
“The statement of the official representative of the White House is fundamentally false, aimed at demonizing Russia in the eyes of the American public and the world community,” he said.
According to Antonov, “the fantasies built on frank lies about the alleged use of chemical weapons by our country have not been supported by the United States with any plausible evidence.”
Antonov added that “the accusations against us of ‘capturing’ other states are also unfounded.” He specified that “Russia adheres to the principle of ‘non-intervention’ in the affairs of foreign countries and strictly follows international law.”
Earlier, Psaki, explaining why, from her point of view, one cannot equate how Russia acts on the world stage and how the United States behaves, said that the Russian Federation “used chemical weapons” and “invaded in the past few years a number of countries.”
It should be noted that back in November-December last year, the world media was filled with the topic of the alleged Russian “invasion” of Ukraine and the sanctions that should follow. According to the authors and experts of these publications, a sign of “invasion” is the concentration of Russian military equipment in the regions bordering Ukraine. This was followed by numerous statements and publications about the impending sanctions against Russia. Moscow denied allegations of the alleged “invasion”.
