In the northern capital, 277 teenagers were vaccinated against covid. This was announced at a press conference on January 31 by the chairman of the city health committee Dmitry Lisovets.
In the last 24 hours alone, 47 children have been vaccinated against coronavirus.
Lisovets stressed that if the child is 12-14 years old, parents must agree in writing to the vaccination. If a teenager is between 14 and 17 years old, they can decide for themselves. Vaccination is recommended for children at risk who have chronic diseases.
The head of the health committee added that there was no talk of forced vaccination of teenagers.
Irina Kataeva, deputy head of the epidemiological surveillance department of the city Rospotrebnadzor, also added that the incidence of pneumonia among adolescents has increased by 54% in the city.
“Sick SARS turned out to be 195% more, and 123% more than all respiratory infections among peers, 136% more among children from one to six years old,” she specified.
Recall that the vaccination of children in St. Petersburg began last week. A batch of children’s vaccine against coronavirus “GamKovidVak M”, which is now being vaccinated at 83 points, arrived in the city on January 23.
