In a meeting between the members of the Legislative Administration Council (CAL) and the coordinators of the benches held on January 30, it was resolved that this week the plenary session will meet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All legislators must attend in person, although there will be exceptions for health or vulnerability issues.

The first vice president of the legislature, Virgilio Saquicela, commented that the decision to return to attendance was made because the city of Quito, where the National Assembly is located, returned to the orange traffic light, and some measures will be taken, such as the Capacity control up to 50% in sessions of committees, parliamentary groups and auditoriums, and to enter the legislature building, a negative antigen or PCR test will be required.
