Former investigator for particularly important cases under the USSR Prosecutor General Vladimir Kalinichenko assessed the likelihood of the widow of singer Alexander Gradsky, Marina Kotashenko, robbed of 100 million rubles, to return the money.
In his opinion, the arrest of one of the criminals will not affect the situation. Kalinichenko, in an interview with News.ru, suggested that those who attacked the widow are most likely already abroad, for example, “on the territory of“ one of the poor former Soviet republics ”, where“ they will live long and happily on the musician’s money. The ex-investigator noted that there was “extremely little” chance of extraditing the suspects to Russia. “If the criminals fled abroad and took the money with them, it is even beneficial to the country they went to. That country may not extradite them,” Kalinichenko explained.
The ex-investigator also expressed sympathy for Kotashenko, concluding that it is unlikely that the stolen millions will be returned to her.
Earlier, “MK” found out that a native of Tajikistan, who had previously worked on Gradskoy’s land plot, could bring criminals to a country house with cash.
Recall that the robbery of Gradsky’s widow was committed in mid-January in the Naro-Fominsk urban district. The attackers provoked an accident with her car and forced her to return to the country house and give them 100 million rubles.
