Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed with the leadership of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua on cooperation in all areas, including military-technical cooperation. This, as the correspondent of “Rosbalt” reports, was announced at the “right hour” in the State Duma by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“These are our closest partners and friends. I will also mention close contacts with other Latin American countries – Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile,” he said.

At the same time, he noted that the United States considers Latin America “as something untouchable”, and pointed out that for everyone else these are already changed realities.

Lavrov assured that Russia has “very close partnership relations” with the three above-mentioned countries.

“And in the course of recent telephone conversations between Putin and the heads of these states, we agreed to consider further ways to deepen our strategic partnership in all areas without exception, including the military-technical one. We hope that meetings of the relevant commissions will be held and the results will be presented to public opinion,” Lavrov said.
