Residents of Magnitogorsk are discussing on social networks the idea of boycotting large retail chains due to a sharp rise in food prices.

“People, let’s do something together with prices, only we can fight these “Magnets”, “Pyaterochka”, “Sytno”! — VK user Daniyar Rakhmanov wrote in the Black & White Magnitogorsk community. — Starting today, prices for bakery products have skyrocketed, but not by 50 kopecks, but by 7–10 rubles at once. In the future, there will be a rise in the price of eggs and chicken, and yet we have not even been given a salary indexed by 2 (ridiculously even) for January. Dear residents of Magnitogorsk, we just need to boycott these Magnets and Pyaterochkas for at least one day. Go to regular shops. It is better to support a small shop than to enrich the oligarchs! Prices will continue to rise as long as we remain silent and do nothing!
