They find two lifeless bodies in the north of the province of Esmeraldas

Another citizen was wounded with a knife in the parish of Quinindé.

Two deceased citizens and one injured were reported between the night of Sunday, January 23, and the afternoon of Monday, January 24, in two towns in the province of Esmeraldas.

The deceased were identified as Diego Delgado Macías (21 years old) and his brother-in-law Ariel Vera Espinoza (18). The body of the first was found with a head wound in the Mata de Plátano compound and the other apparently also beaten and also strangled with a rope at neck height about three kilometers in the El Panesso sector, in the Anchayacu parish, of the Eloy Alfaro canton, in the north of the green province. The discovery of the bodies was reported on the afternoon of this Monday 24.

Alba M., Diego’s mother, told the investigating agents that she observed her son alive when he left his home to meet his brother-in-law last Sunday.

Natalia, Ariel’s wife, suspects a man whose identification was handed over to the Police, who has not yet been apprehended.

With the prosecutor on duty for Eloy Alfaro and Criminalistics agents, the bodies and other evidence were removed from both sites to continue with the investigations of the double crime.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man was wounded at head height with a knife (machete) in the Barranquilla sector, in the San Eduardo neighborhood, in the La Unión parish of the Quinindé canton, in the center of the Esmeraldas province.

The attack, apparently, was due to a personal fight with another citizen at dawn on Monday this week.

The alleged aggressor, drunk, was arrested by police officers inside a home in the San Eduardo neighborhood. For now, the wounded man is recovering at the Alberto Buffoni basic hospital in Quinindé. (I)
