The Russian Ministry of Health has temporarily suspended purchases and supplies of the Epivaccorona vaccine. This is reported by Vedomosti.
According to Roszdravnadzor’s register of permits for the introduction of immunobiological medicines into civil circulation, not a single batch of Epivaccorona and Epivaccorona-H coronavirus vaccines has been distributed to the regions since the beginning of 2022.
An employee of one of the Russian scientific institutes announced difficulties with the supply of Epivaccorona. Another employee of the same organization said that “there is reason to talk about the suspension of the production of this vaccine.” It has not been supplied to the regions for a long time, the interlocutors in the State Duma and the Russian pharmaceutical company said.
The publication clarifies that manufacturers have released too many vaccines, but in some regions it is unpopular.
A representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that a “significant stock” of all anti-covid vaccines has been formed in all regions.
